The public is invited to attend Duck Public Safety Night Out on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the Duck Town Park from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., combining Duck Fire’s observance of National Fire Prevention Week and Police’s National Night Out. Attendees have the chance to meet Duck police officers and firefighters, and learn more about how they serve the community. Hot dogs and drinks, the ladder truck, Engine 111, Duck Fire Brush Truck, Police Segway, bikes and more apparatus and equipment will be on site. Interactive children’s stations will be ongoing throughout the evening. All attendees will receive a blue glow bracelet to wear as the event ends, and gather on the Green to form a “thin blue line” to commemorate fallen law enforcement officers, during which a picture will be taken. The event will go on rain or shine. In the event of rain, activities will be moved inside the Town Meeting Hall.
